This forum has now moved to a better place, it's the same, but not 123hj (dot) proboards18. (com)

It has now moved to http://jconserv.net/lof/

And it's a lot better than this one. It's still the same forum, and named the place, but you should all move to there - (need help unpacking?

) SO I already packed up and left this place, my username on there is Lady T.

SO now, this Land of FantaSea, is no longer...really THIS forum. *Tries to make herself clear* It has now moved.

Moira is Laday Earla on there.

Namarie Mellon! Pax Christi, and you have to join there again, because soon this forum will no longer be available.

The announcement that German Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger had been named the next pope followed less than an hour later.

“My dearest brothers and sisters,” said Cardinal Jorge Medina Estevez from a balcony. "I announce to you a great joy. We have a pope!”

Ratzinger, 78, has been the Vatican's chief overseer of doctrine since 1981. He took the name Pope Benedict XVI.

The cardinals, he said in Italian from the balcony to the crowd below, "have elected me — a simple, humble worker in God's vineyard."

"The Lord knows how to work and how to act … and I especially trust in your prayers,” he said.

He then led a prayer and blessing.

At about 6 p.m. local time, their eyes glued to the chimney, the crowd lingering in St. Peter’s Square (search) cheered, clapped, laughed and honked horns as the white smoke wafted out.
